Our Villa

Dinning room at Lust, with self-made wooden furniture and local decorations

Lust Yoga & Surf Villa - your home in Sri Lanka

At LUST Yoga & Surf we want you to feel at home. Our five bedroom villa has a personal feel with plenty of spaces for socialising, relaxing, reading, and, of course, eating. We have a big communal living room with a long table where our guest can enjoy vegan breakfast, an afternoon cup of coffee or a smoothie or play cards.

Some evenings we organise communal, family dinners. We love to sit down with our guests and enjoy traditional Sri Lankan rice and curry, vegan tacos, or Pad Thai!

Yoga shala, pool and a big garden

We have a yoga shala where we practice vinyasa every day. Our yoga classes for guests and drop ins take place at 7.30 in the morning. Next to the yoga shala there is a pool area, where you can enjoy a nice relaxing dip, swing in a hammock or chill in one of the sun loungers.

If you’re looking for some peace and quiet, stay in our garden where you can read, rest or take a nap under the shade of tropical trees. Mornings in the garden are spent on enjoying our delicious vegan breakfast and evenings on sipping a glass of wine or a cold Lion beer.

No matter what mood you are in, there is always a suitable space to hang out. LUST Yoga & Surf Villa is all about a cosy, homey atmosphere and a friendly, chilled vibes. Come feel it for yourself!

Breakfast

Vegan breakfast feast every morning at Lust in Ahangama

Breakfast is definitely our favourite meal of the day! Each morning we serve a delicious, freshly prepared and healthy breakfast. Most of our menu is vegan, and everything is home made with locally grown products.

Choose between vegan pancakes, both sweet and savory, chia pudding, coconut porridge and the best gluten free bread you’ll ever taste! All are served with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juice, and your choice of coffee or the famous Ceylon tea.

Some say it's the best breakfast in Sri Lanka! It tastes even better when you eat it after our morning yoga class!

Animal Friendly

We have 4 dogs, 2 cats and many many monkeys - we are an animal friendly home

At LUST we are big animal lovers! We currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats, all rescue animals, adopted from our friends at Animal SOS. Especially our dogs are very friendly- they get really excited when new guests arrive, and love attention, cuddles and kisses!

Nalu is the sweetheart of the villa. He is the handsome one and knows how to use his cuteness to get what he wants- which is usually a lot of love and all of the attention. Tiggy, Nalu’s twin brother, is always the first one to run after a monkey or guard the gate. Mazda, the only girl among the doggies, is quite shy, especially with guys. So please be careful when you approach her. However, after you give her some treats, she might as well become your best friend.

Local Area

Learn how to surf in Sri Lanka - stay at Lust and we show you the best spots

Our villa is located in the authentic Buddhist village of Ahangama, right on the coast, and close to some of the best surf spots in the south of Sri Lanka.

30 minutes in a tuk tuk and you'll reach the heritage listed Galle Fort, with its boutique shops, cafés and iconic lighthouse. The bustling beach towns of Unawatuna, Weligama and Mirissa, where you will find long, white sand beaches, shopping and a variety of bars and restaurants, are also just a short drive away.

Getting around the area is easy: borrow a push bike, rent a scooter, take a tuk tuk, or catch the train or bus for the real Sri Lankan experience! From LUST Villa you can also easily walk to some of the secret beaches that are close by. Or grab a surfboard and hit the waves- some of the best surf spots on the south coast are within walking distance.

Sustainable Living

Natural decorations and ecological interior details

Keeping the villa sustainable and environmentally conscious is very important to us. We stay away from plastic as much as possible, and provide unlimited filtered water for all our guests.

The colonial architecture of our home keeps the rooms cool, and most of the time the fan alone is enough for a good night's sleep.

Throughout the villa we use locally produced and sourced materials, furniture and decorations. We are passionate about supporting small producers here in Sri Lanka, and Ahangama area in particular, so many of the things you find in the villa are hand made locally, or by us!
